We love simplicity at Shay & Blue. Usually perfumes are made with 80+ ingredients - our fragrances are made with less than 15! We take care over every ingredient, making sure it is organic and sourced sustainably.

We use naturally derived molecules in every case, very often synthesising natural notes to ensure that we remain ethical and cruelty-free.

Vegan. Cruelty Free. Certified by PETA. No parabens, phthalates or dyes. Sustainably sourced and packaged with recycled materials.

There are no labels at Shay & Blue. We don't categorise our products by gender.

Our Gender-Blend fragrances, also known as a gender-neutral fragrance, are scents that we design to be suitable for both men and women. It is a fragrance that can be worn by individuals of any gender identity without conforming to traditional stereotypes or expectations regarding scent preferences.

Unisex fragrances are characterised by their balanced composition, typically incorporating a blend of notes that are neither distinctly masculine nor feminine. They often feature a combination of fresh, floral, woody, or spicy elements, creating a versatile and inclusive scent profile. Unisex fragrances tend to be more subtle and less focused on traditional gender-specific accords, allowing for a broader appeal and wider range of wearers.

The concept of unisex fragrances emerged as a response to the traditional categorisation of perfumes and colognes into strictly masculine and feminine scents. It challenges the notion that certain scents are exclusive to a particular gender and promotes a more open and inclusive approach to fragrance choices.

Unisex fragrances provide individuals with the freedom to express their personal style and individuality without conforming to societal expectations. They offer a diverse range of options that can be worn by anyone, regardless of their gender identity, encouraging self-expression and breaking down gender barriers in the world of perfumery.

Sometimes finding a new fragrance can seem like such a challenge. What do I like? How does it come across for others? Its such a subjective process.

We have several ways to help you. Firstly, hit the chat button and if we are online one of the team can talk you through your likes, dislikes and make recommendations on fragrances you currently wear.

Secondly, you can use our fragrance finder. Answer some wimple questions and we will make a suggestion for you.

Lastly, you can filter our fragrances by looking at Similar brands. If you like a particular branded fragrance you are likely to enjoy our recommendations.

Absolutely they are. We have ensured that all of our products including candles are free from any animal product or derivative. We are certified by PETA as cruelty free also.

We have worked hard to remove the majority of plastic packaging from our supply chain. Today we manufacture less than 1% of weight using plastic and our aim is to push the cosmetics industry to strive for plastic free.
